Style Crush of the Moment: Tea Dresses

When I think of my style, dresses don’t tend to spring to mind. It’s not because I don’t like wearing them, I just feel that my ‘style’ is heavily influenced by the fact that jeans are easy to chuck on and they’re pretty comfortable too. However, in the summer when England gets its little glimpse of sunshine, I don’t necessarily want to wear jeans and so it’s nice to branch out.

One thing I’ve picked up on for this summer is the domination of the tea dress. High-street brands and more high-end brands are both really going for it with this trend; they’re everywhere! Maybe that’s why I’m REALLY drawn to them. What I love about tea dresses is that the style can vary so much, whether it’s short ones, midi ones or more floaty long ones, there will definitely be one out there that you like.

Here are a few that I’ve found that have stood out to me!

These are the particular dresses that have really caught my eye. I think that this trend is so different for me as my picks involve bold prints and colours, which I never really go for. This could be because of the style making these statement patterns and colours easier to wear due to their floaty material and ruffles that really soften the overall look.

So in conclusion, I’m going to try and put the jeans on the back-burner and opt for something a little different. I will be back for you jeans, I promise. I hope that you liked my picks and I’d love to hear your opinion on the tea dress trend.
